As Bosun, you’ll be the person our Beach Team turns to when something needs fixing, maintaining or bringing back to life. From dinghies and windsurfing equipment to the wider kit used across our watersports programme, you’ll play a vital role in keeping everything safe, maintained and ready for action.

You’ll need to be practical, technically confident and brilliant at problem-solving, with the ability to diagnose faults, carry out repairs – including GRP work – and tackle the inevitable challenges that come with a busy watersports operation.

But this isn’t a job spent hidden away with a toolbox. You’ll also share your knowledge with the Beach Team, helping instructors develop their maintenance skills, and when you’re not repairing equipment, you’ll get involved on the water, delivering safe, fun and engaging Dinghy Sailing and/or Windsurfing sessions for our guests.

Flexibility is a big part of the role. You may occasionally travel between our Beach Clubs to provide additional maintenance support and training, giving you the chance to work with different teams and experience more than one Neilson destination.
