As a Neilson Bike Guide, you’ll spend your summer riding brilliant routes, exploring the local area and sharing your love of cycling with our guests.
You’ll lead a varied programme of rides for guests with different levels of fitness and experience, adapting your pace and approach to make sure everyone has a safe, enjoyable and memorable ride. You’ll also share your knowledge and advice with guests who want to head out independently using our pre-planned routes.
You’ll need to be a qualified Bike Leader, ideally MIAS Level 2 or recognised equivalent. We may also consider strong candidates holding a Level 1 qualification, depending on their wider cycling experience and suitability for the role.
This is an active job – unsurprisingly, there’s quite a lot of riding involved – so you’ll need a good level of personal fitness, plenty of stamina and the enthusiasm to get back on the bike day after day.
And it’s not all about clocking up the miles. You’ll also work alongside our Children’s Activity Team, helping deliver fun sessions that introduce younger riders to cycling and build their confidence on two wheels.
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about bikes, confident leading groups and brilliant with people. You’ll be able to read the group in front of you, offer encouragement when it’s needed and make the ride just as much about the experience as the distance covered.
Working for Neilson is more than just a summer job. You’ll spend your season riding, exploring, developing your guiding experience and introducing guests to some fantastic cycling – all while living and working in one of our beautiful Beach Club destinations.
If getting paid to ride bikes in the sunshine and show other people some cracking routes sounds suspiciously like your idea of a good time, you should probably apply today.
