Night Receptionist - Job Details

The duties of each employee working as a Night Receptionist in the Company's hotels are indicative and not limited to the following, including any other related tasks, namely:

  • Greets guests with a smile, provides information, and registers guests in the electronic reception systems.
  • Provides excellent customer service at all times.
  • Manages the opening, charging, and closing of guest accounts.
  • Ensures the proper operation of the cash register and is responsible for reconciling the cash drawer at the end of their shift.
  • Collects and archives all receipts of the day from all departments by guest.
  • Checks for any outstanding financial issues (e.g., uncharged items or necessary corrections).
  • Ensures the arrival and proper counting of all cash drawers from all departments (revenue and fixed).
  • Responsible for the "End of Day" process in the hotel program and printing all financial reports related to accounting.
  • Provides effective telephone assistance to guests.
  • Transfers guest complaints and suggestions to the Front of House Manager.
  • Must be familiar with the operational information of all hotel departments.
  • Connects all hotel departments by transmitting information, taking personal responsibility during their shift.
  • Ensures that the electronic reception systems are always operational to provide effective service to guests.
  • Shows interest and strives to increase sales of hotel services.
  • Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and order at the reception at all times.
  • Develops effective and positive working relationships with all staff teams.
  • Ensures that all procedures are followed to prevent loss of inventory and equipment.
  • Must adhere to the proper operating procedures of the department.

The Night Receptionist reports to the Front of House Manager.
